About
Us
At
Coyotee Flats we strive to produce quality performance Paints and
Quarter Horses. Whether you want to show, rodeo, jackpot or just
pleasure ride, our horses will work for you. In our minds there
is no better business to be in than the horse business and we take
great pride in the horses we raise. We are presently standing three
Quarter Horse stallions. We breed approximately 50 Quarter Horse
mares and 3 paints. We participate in the Saskatchewan Breeders
Barrel Bonanza and have our Frenchmans Buck stallion nominated into
the Canadian Barrel Horse Incentive program and the Northern Lights
Stallion Incentive Fund.
Kevin and Marla belong to the CCA and MRCA rodeo associations and
the year 2000 was the first year for Charmaine to have her CCA Jr.
card. Kevin holds the honor of winning the CCA Finals as a header
and then returned the following year to win the championship as
a heeler. 2004 saw both Kevin and Charmaine return to the CCA Finals
with Charmaine winning the Junior Girls Barrel Racing Year End Award,
the CJWW Tour Championship and the White Line Tour Buckle. Marla
was named the 2004 Cowgirl of the Year.
2005
was the last year that Charmaine was eligible for the Junior Girls Barrel
Racing event but she made the best of it. She qualified for the Manitoba
Rodeo Finals where she won 2 of the 3 go rounds and posted the fastest
time in the Jrs. Then Charmaine made her way to the CCA Finals one last
time in the Jrs. Charmaine and "Movies" won the 1st & 2nd
go round and placed 3rd in the 3rd go round plus 1st in the average to
become the 2005 CCA Finals Jr Girls Barrel Racing Champion. To top it
all off her 19 yr. old horse "At The Movies" was crowned Jr.
Girls Barrel Horse of the Year for the second year in a row. Kevin's bay
gelding, "Zans Five Alive" a.k.a. "Hocker" was named
the 2005 CCA Heel Horse of the Year.
Marla
and Charmaine are also members of the Saskatchewan Barrel Racing Association
and Kevin is a member of the Saskatchewan Team Roping Association.
